The following are just some of the reasons why our clients choose us, Convenient Wills, to make their Wills for them.

1   Our home-visit Will Drafting services has the following features:

A.   Meetings can be held in the morning, afternoon, evening, after work, after the children have gone to bed, and even on a Saturday.  In short: whenever it is convenient for you.

B.   We come to your home [or your workplace or a hospital ward if preferred] to take your instructions  

• Many of our clients say how they find this arrangement less stressful than having to travel to a solicitor’s or will-writer’s office.

C    Our advice is holistic.

• i.e. Our advice takes into consideration how our advice on one topic might impact on another.
• If you run a business we will discuss business disposal options.
• If you have a potential inheritance tax liabilitythis will be factored into our advice.

D.   Our charges are transparent, and fixed at the outset.

• You can see our fees for the most frequently requested services listed on this website. We will provide a bespoke quote for those that are not listed, on request.
• This means you know how much you will have to pay at the outset: there are no nasty surprises for you when you come to pay.  You can buy from us with confidence.
• Compare our transparency with those of our competitors who either do not list their prices or if the do they present them as a long menu of options,  expecting you to know what each options means and whether you want/need them.
• We keep our price list simple. For example we quote a price for 2-Wills as £250. That price stands irrespective of how complex your Wills are.  If you need a trust it will be inserted. If the tenancy of your property needs changing so that the trust will work, we will arrange that too.We do not quote a price for a Will, a price for a trust, a price for …. etc etc.
• We do not use loss-leader marketing to tempt you to choose us  (‘Loss-leader marketing’ is where a seller offers a service at a loss but then upsells additional services from which they can make a far greater profit.  
• The Internet is full of websites using this technique - often advertising Wills for £50 or less.

F.   We personally oversee the Will signing process:

• This significantly reduces the risk of error in the signing process; and
• means that we can better defend your Will should it ever be challenged.
• Some Will-writers send out signing instructions with their master documents and expect their client(s) to follow those instructions.

2. In respect of your Will:

A.    I will use my many years of experience to guide you through all the areas you need to consider when making your Will.

• This feature removes the need for you to undertake any prior research other than finding out the names and addresses of people to be included in your Will.
• This is a clear benefit over using an on-line service where you must undertake all the research yourself to determine what you should be considering.

B.   I use non-technical, jargon-free language and drawings to explain the more technical aspects in your Will.

• This means that you will understand what is being said; and  
• You will then be able to make informed decisions.

C.   The clauses in your Will are of a modern style.

• Which means you and your executors can easily understand them.

D.   We will draft any required side letter needed to support your Will for you and at no extra cost (except where the testator's estate is worth £1M+ and the estate distribution is complex and requires a correspondingly complex, bespoke, side letter that may require many hours of work).

• This means your often-important side letter will contain the clauses it needs to help defend your Will if challenged.

E.   We supply draft Wills for your perusal and checking prior to printing off your master documents.  

• This gives you time to reflect upon (and change if required) your original instructions.  

F.   Our Wills are bound, printed on quality paper, and contain a number of security features that make them very difficult to successfully tamper with.

3.   At the end of the process you will each have:

A    a bespoke Will; tailored to your specific wishes;  that contains any testamentary trusts required to achieve the desired distribution; your Will will contain the required administration clauses that make life easier for your executors and beneficiaries. You can be confident that your Will is legal (under English Law), and you will know that your Will distributes your estate in accordance with your wishes - because you will understand the clauses.  You will also know that all the aspects that you should have considered when making your Will will have been considered.
